Hidradenitis Study

Hidradenitis  is a skin disease which leads to the recurring development of swollen, painful "boils" and draining sores, typically under the arms or in the groin area. Other body areas can be affected, such as the crease under the breasts in women, and other areas where the skin is subject to frequent rubbing and friction. At its worst, "HS" can be a miserable condition, with constant pain, swelling, and drainage from the sores. To date, treatments have been less than ideal, with many patients still suffering frequent outbreaks despite using antibiotics, cortisone, surgical drainage, and other treatments. Until recently, there was very little research into better ways to treat this condition.

We are conducting a research study of the investigational use of an injectable medication in the treatment of HS. Participants will receive study medication, office visits and laboratory testing at no cost, and compensation for time and travel may be available.
