More than half of Australians will experience menopause – yet it remains a condition that many practitioners feel underprepared to manage.

In recognition of Menopause Awareness Month and World Menopause Day (18 October), this episode of Spot Diagnosis explores the often-overlooked intersection between menopause and skin health.

Join dermatologists Dr Emma Veysey and Dr Anita Lasocki, along with endocrinologist Dr Rosie Worsley, as they discuss:
• The skin changes that can occur during menopause – from dryness and itching to acne and accelerated ageing
• Evidence-based treatment options and practical management tips for clinicians
• Whether topical oestrogen truly helps reduce wrinkles or improves skin quality

This episode sheds light on an important but under-discussed aspect of women’s health, helping clinicians feel more confident supporting their patients through this stage of life.

We would like to thank our Institute Partner, Melbourne Pathology, for their support of the Spot Diagnosis Podcast.
